Title “Searching for Macau”

The presentation, madeby the author of the photos, will contain around 180 photos made in Macao in the periods 1986-1994, 2005, 2016 and 2024.

In the event the author will try to illustrate how was Macao in the late 80’s/early 90’s viewed by a Portuguese curious about the Chinese culture, the Portuguese marks in Macao and the interactions between both communities.

The author:

-Degree in Economics in Lisbon;

-Worked in Lisbon at the Banco de Portugal;

-Worked in Macau in 1986-1994 at the AMCM-Monetary Authority of Macau.

Amateur photographer who entered, in the early 70’s, in the wonderful world of photography through the analog mode, made submarine photography and was totally conquered by the digital mode.

Participated in collective and individual photographic exhibitions and audiovisual photographic presentations.

Several photographs are present in national and international sites and institutions, namey, the site “Macau Memory” from the Macau Foundation and the CCCM-Centro Científico e Cultural de Macau (Portugal).
