POSTER2-01

The Rui Cunha Foundation presents on May 22nd, this once at 7:00 pm, the “Saturday Night Jazz”, under the title “The Singing Night”, with the performance of three local groups: the MAC Vocal Group, the CDSJ 6 School Choir and the Addison’s Vocal Group.

This month’s “Saturday Night Jazz”, promoted by the MJPA – Macau Jazz Promotion Association, brings students from the MAC Vocal Group to the stage of the FRC Gallery. They are a musical ensemble of the Macau Anglican College that has been collaborating for the fourth year with MJPA and FRC, led by professor and double-bassist Johnny Yau, who has discovered many new young talents to interpret favorite themes of the great jazz classics.

The CDSJ 6 School Choir is a high school choral ensemble from Colégio Diocesano de São José that sings popular themes from various musical genres. The group made its first presentation at the Celebrations of the 90th Anniversary of CDSJ.

The Addison Vocal Group gathers strong soloists and presents a contemporary singing style. Its repertoire also includes several musical genres, including pop, musicals and jazz. The group of young people is guided by composer and pianist Addison Wong, having a characteristic powerful vocal energy when they sing in a group, without losing the unique style of each interpreter.

The scheduled time for this concert, with very young singers, will exceptionally be at 7 pm, instead of the usual FRC jazz shows at 9 pm.

Admittance is free.

Don’t miss it!
