Since 2012, Macau Vocal Association has been inviting professional vocalists to Macau, in order to promote well appreciation of vocal music, while bringing high level performance to Macau audience and students, showing the various interpretations and characteristics of different regions. Soprano Ang Mei Foong, from Malaysia, is to give a solo recital this year, she is active around Asia, Europe and Australia, with very rich performing experience, who has also been the leading role of various famous opera productions. For the debut in Macau, Ang will be performing “Frauenliebe und leben” by Schumann, arias from “Rusalka”, “Madamma Butterfly” and “La Forza del Destino”, various works of Malaysia composers will be also performed.

MVA also invites Ang to host a vocal masterclass, she will be instructing some local students and young singers. MVA hopes to provide learning opportunities for local music lovers.
