This exhibition gathers a group of art pursuers amid ordinary life. Coming from all walks of life—office staff, teachers and students—they hustle in daily routines yet pick up their paintbrushes in spare time. Learning and creating art together in the studio, they have become like-minded companions bound by a sincere passion for art.
The paintbrush, once a beloved companion of their youth, was set aside amid the hustle and bustle of adult life. Nevertheless, their inner passion for colors and beauty has never faded. By fortunate chance, they entered the studio and studied art under an amateur tutor graduated from the China Academy of Art. Free from the pressure of competitions and exhibitions, this space is filled with vibrant paints, the soft clink of palette knives and warm laughter. Here, they paint freely and wholeheartedly, driven by pure love for art alone.
Devoid of elaborate and sophisticated techniques, every piece is crafted with sincere strokes and heartfelt emotions, embodying the purest artistic innocence.
For them, painting is a soothing solace for busy life and a tranquil harbor for the soul. In leisure hours, they express their emotions through brushes and colours. Through constant toning and sketching, they explore the essence of beauty and calm their restless minds. Their once clumsy brushwork grows refined, and the aesthetic perception dulled by daily trivialities is reawakened on canvas with pigments.
They depict the dawn and dusk of Macao’s streets and alleys, the mountains and seas outside the window, and the tender charms of their pets. They also portray the distant dreams and scenery hidden in their hearts. Each creation is a tender tribute to life and a lingering glow of their youthful passion, preserving gentle moments in ordinary days.
This exhibition presents the fruitful achievements of their long-term perseverance and consistent practice. Though the works may still bear traces of immaturity, their unwavering passion and persistent dedication constitute the most touching and precious scenery of this exhibition.
