The Rui Cunha Foundation presents today, Wednesday, May 28th at 6:30pm, a talk on the theme “Blue Wave Generation: Surfing Without Limits”, with special guest speaker Prof Jacky Ho, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Co-Dean of the USJ – Kong Hon Academy for Cellular Nutrition and Health, and the Director of the Macao Observatory for Social Development at the University of Saint Joseph, Macau. The session is jointly organized by the Macanese Youth Association (AJM), the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) and FRC.

The event aims to discuss the effects of unlimited internet surfing and browsing, mainly on mobile phones. The focus will be to on how does excessive digital screen time influences the health and well-being of the younger generation, how this impacts the education system in Macau, and what can be done to manage and balance time spent on new technologies, including the potential risks of Artificial Intelligence in our near future.

Moderated by António Monteiro and Jerusa Antunes, respectively the President and Vice-President of AJM, the lecture hopes to raise public interest and curiosity, reaching a broad participation and interaction, especially from younger audiences.

The event will be held in English.
