Artificial Intelligence: Brave New World – 2023.04.26

The Rui Cunha Foundation and MBtv Debates present today, Wednesday, April 26th at 6.30pm, a conference about “Artificial Intelligence: Brave New World“, inserted in the Current Issues series of the FRC/MBTV Debates, co-organized with the Macau Business magazine.

A diverse panel of experts was invited to speak on the topic, from different perspectives and points of view, with the purpose of contributing to enrich the discussion.

Carlos Silvestre, Professor at the Faculty of Science and Technology of University of Macau; Sara Migliorini, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law of University of Macau; and Vincent Pun, Director at MetaWab Ventures, will set the tone for another important and very relevant debate, not only in Macau but throughout the world.

Artificial Intelligence is a revolution in the making, and it’s already all around us. AI is advancing rapidly and having an unprecedented impact on our daily lives, one that we are only beginning to grasp.

Its effects will be felt across a broad spectrum, including the labor market, education, healthcare, privacy, and security. As such, the role of governments, corporations, and individuals in shaping the development of AI to benefit humanity is a crucial topic of discussion. Moreover, with AI’s proliferation come ethical dilemmas that require our attention.

The session will be held in English and is an integral part of the Rui Cunha Foundation’s 11th Anniversary Celebration Program.
