The Rui Cunha Foundation presents “Divine Beasts – Paper Art by Benson Lam” on January 14th 2020, Tuesday at 6.30 pm, an exhibition of polygon pieces created from materials such as paper and cardboard, celebrating the coming of Springtime.

The Gallery space will feature 12 pieces of three-dimensional craft by expert artist Benson Lam, 3 of which designed especially to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of Macao’s Return to the Motherland.

The artwork was shaped by template folding and assembling artistic elements, using low-poly paper art as a process of conceptual vertices and faces design, making use of 3D modeling. Paper is a common material in our daily life, but it is also noble and environmentally friendly. The expression of paper art – such as origami, paper filigree, collage and others – often result in elegant decorations and beautiful ornamental displays that require total focus, patience and careful effort.

Benson Lam was born in Macau but worked overseas for a long time, from Hong Kong, Milan, Madrid, Barcelona, Lisbon, London, New York to Mainland China. As a photographer and a design professor, he is specialized in commercial space design & professional brand creations for shop window displaying.

The exhibition will be open from Monday to Saturday, from 10 am to 7 pm, until February 1st, 2020. Admission is free.
