POSTER_jazzThe Rui Cunha Foundation presents on Saturday, February 26 at 9:00 pm, the first “Saturday Night Jazz” of the New Year of the Tiger, a concert that will bring the Macau Youth Jazz Orchestra (MYJO) to the FRC Gallery with their fun and positive enthusiasm for this genre of music.

The Macau Youth Jazz Orchestra is a music group of young people, under the wing of the Macau Jazz Promotion Association (MJPA). Its members range in age from six years old to young adults and are divided into various learning groups: Kids, Teens and Young Adults. Some of the MYJO members have debuted in the “Halloween Party” concert last year and received very excited and eager feedbacks.

Now they are back, setting the stage for a great show of more than 20 young talented musicians, performing the latest jazz scene of Macau. The soundtrack will include familiar all-time favorite standards, like “Fly Me to the Moon”, “All of Me”, “Mercy Mercy Mercy”, “Mack the Knife”, “The Girl from Ipanema”, “St. Thomas”, and many more.

The Macau Jazz Promotion Association, co-organizer of the event with Rui Cunha Foundation since 2014, is formed by jazz lovers who have been exploring different styles of this musical genre, within a scope of multiple projects aimed at youth and others.

Admission is free, but subject to the health recommendations implemented by local authorities.

Don’t miss it!
