The Rui Cunha Foundation presents on Tuesday, in the late afternoon of February 10th, the Art Exhibition “Riding the Year of the Fire Horse”, a display that gathers 26 eclectic pieces from the FRC Collection. With no formal opening ceremony, the public will have the opportunity to visit the Gallery for four weeks to appreciate some of more than one hundred pieces that are part of FRC’s artistic assortment.

Among them are names such as Lei Iat Po, Natalie Lao, Lee Chau Ping, He Jianguo, Liu Shengli, Benson Lam, Li Jinxiang, or Lei Pui Seong, in addition to names like Paulo Valentim, Arlinda Frota, Rui Calado, Vasco d’Orey Bobone, and many other artists who have passed by the Gallery walls in the last almost fourteen years.

“Riding the Year of the Fire Horse” proposes a visual and cultural journey through different artistic expressions, such as calligraphy, painting and sculpture, exploring themes such as movement, energy, spirituality and renewal, values intrinsically linked to this ancient celebration. The artworks on display reflect the dialogue between cultures, traditions, artistic languages, and diverse materials, highlighting the fusion of this symbolic richness associated with the lunar calendar holidays.
