POSTER_FBThe Rui Cunha Foundation presents on Thursday, December 14th at 6:30pm, the Solo Exhibition “Moltirange: Who is Solace?” by well-known local artist Pakeong Fortes Sequeira, that will be displaying around 30 art pieces ranging from painting to installation and digital art. Co-organized by FRC and Fortes Solo Workshop Lda, the event has also the support of the Macau Intellectual Property Industry Commercial Association and the Macau International Grand Event Promotion Association.

Curated by fellow artist Heidi Ng, the exhibition will feature «Fortes Sequeira’s latest works, which delve into personal growth, transformation, and the exploration of the unknown and uncertainty. Sequeira uses the fictional character “Solace” as a blueprint to reveal his inner world», reveals the curator about Pakeong’s artistic alter-ego from his animation universe and his childhood imagination.

«At the exhibition, Fortes Sequeira will showcase his art in a novel style. Sequeira utilizes storytelling illustrations and heavily integrates mirror elements to present his reflections on personal growth», she further says, «giving visitors ample opportunity to admire his latest artwork and be moved by his inspiring and impactful pieces». The aim of the project «is to inspire all to courageously confront the unfamiliar and discover their inner resilience, whether in the face of adversity or while chasing their aspirations».

Pakeong Fortes Sequeira is a «multi-talented artist who excels in music composition and has a unique visual style in painting», explains Heidi Ng. «His works exude the rhythm and melody of heavy metal music, which captivates his audience. In recent years, he has revitalized the artistic venue “Art Gate” in Macau, providing a haven for those seeking a moment of tranquility. The space is brimming with a human touch, giving visitors the chance to relish on coffee whilst appreciating each detail of the historic house. It is here where Sequeira engages in profound conversations with his audience, further inspiring his artistic contemplation».

The artworks will be on display until January 6th, 2024.
