Poster_new2021The Rui Cunha Foundation presents today, Saturday, July 12th at 5:00pm, a “Bel Canto Saturday” recital with local soprano Ivy Lee (李綺梨), accompanied by pianist Ms. May Poon (潘澔彤老師). This session is part of the musical concert series Nam Van Sound Waves, co-organized by the Macau Vocal Association.

The program includes a varied selection of classical pieces by composers such as Giulio Caccini, Michał Lorenc, and Charles Gounod, with their different versions of Ave Maria. Those will be followed by songs or opera arias from Vincenzo Bellini, Francesco Paolo Tosti, Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, Richard Strauss, Wang Long(王龍), and Huang Zhiwei (黃志偉).

The Macau Vocal Association (澳門聲樂協會), founded in 2010, aims to promote the development of the art of vocal music in Macau – which includes opera, classical bel canto, and choral singing –, fulfilling the mission of disseminating it among young people and the general public. The series of recitals and concerts held in partnership with schools and community institutions in the territory intend to provide, through music, a space for well-being and moral, intellectual, aesthetic, physical and social balance, for people of all ages in their free time.
