“Macau in My Heart”
Photography Exhibition by Alex Chao Io Chong

Photography, a unique art form that uses scenes as its pen and ink to record moments in life for an eternity. Every photo is an exchange of emotions and thoughts between the photographer and his subject, revealing unique observations and their deep understanding of life, nature, and society.
For this photography exhibition “Macau in My Heart” by Mr. Alex Chao Io Chong, we have carefully selected 30 works he shot in Macau, covering different themes, styles and techniques. The content includes the impressiveness of Macau’s modern constructions in recent years, exquisite cultural landscapes, warmth of urban life, etc. The three sections “Charming Macau”, “East meets West”, and ” Traits of Macau “, will take us through the different facets that make up Macau and feel the varied emotions through the author’s eyes.
In the process of planning this exhibition, I felt an enormous responsibility. I not only had to pay attention to the visual effects of the works but also to the cultural connotation and ideological depth behind them. One hopes that through these photos, the audience will be inspired to think about life, art and the world.
At the same time, we have also prepared a sharing session where the author will share his creative ideas and techniques with the attendees.
Let us enter this photography exhibition together, feel the charm of light and shadow, and appreciate the elegance of art. I believe that in the company of these photos, our lives will be more colorful, and our world will be a better place.
