Vit Polasek was born in Uherske Hradiste (Czech Republic). He graduated from the Conservatory of P.J.Vejvanovsky in Kromeriz and he continued to study violin with Prof. Rudolf Stastny at the Janacek Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts in Brno and with Prof. Wladimir Malinin at the Franz Lizst Academy in Weimar (Germany).

Vit was a member of the Ceske Budejovice Philharmonic Orchestra (Czech Republic). And during the summers of 2000 and 2001 he toured the USA, Latin America and South America as soloist and concert master with the Czech Virtuosi Orchestra. He was a member of Talich Chamber Orchestra in Prague

(Czech Republic). Between 2003 and 2009 Vit has held the position of Principal Second Violin with the Macao Orchestra(Macao, China). In 2009 he has held the same position in Philharmonie Olomouc (Czech Republic). Since 2010 Vit is back in Macao Orchestra.

Since 2004 Vit is teaching in the Macao Conservatory. He had given masterclasses in Florida (USA), Panama, Salvador, Uruguay, China and Czech Republic.

Vit is playing a violin by Riccardo Bergonzi, viola by Vincenzo Sannino and uses bows by Petr Aurednik.

With his wife, Lu Yan, they have two sons, Vit and Lukas.
